Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Azure Virtual Desktop Specialist for an assignment with our client in Malmö. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, configuring, and managing VDI environments using Microsoft AVD and RDS, while contributing to the development and improvement of existing solutions for new applications.

Work tasks

• Design, configure, and manage VDI environments with Microsoft AVD and RDS based on business needs.
• Implement and maintain security policies for virtual desktops.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to AVD and RDS systems.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to integrate VDI solutions with other IT infrastructure.
• Monitor VDI performance and implement ongoing improvements.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and customers.
• Stay updated on the latest developments in AVD and RDS.

Requirements

• Education in computer engineering or related field.
• Documented experience with Microsoft AVD and RDS, including design, configuration, and management of virtual desktop environments.
• Good understanding of virtualization technology, e.g., Hyper-V.
• Experience with network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
• Good skills in scripting and automation, e.g., PowerShell and Python.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability.
• Good communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
• Ability to further develop existing VDI solutions for new applications.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.

Merits

• Experience with Workplace management, e.g., management of Windows and Mac devices and MDM.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms such as Intune and Jamf.
• Knowledge of DevOps methods and tools.
• Relevant certifications, e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty.
