Network Engineer / Network Technician

About the assignment

Nefesh AB is now seeking a driven and operational Network Engineer for a long-term assignment in Västerås.

In the role of Network Engineer, you will work closely with the business to ensure that network environments function optimally, both in daily operations and during major infrastructure changes. The role is highly operational and hands-on. You will mix problem-solving via systems with practical work in the server rooms.

Your tasks

• Operational work with network installations, racking of equipment, replacements, and physical troubleshooting on-site.
• Manage incidents and change requests via ITSM tools.
• Close collaboration with monitoring teams, network architects, and technicians at other locations.
• Participate in larger modernization projects, equipment inventory, and reduction of technical debt.
• Travel may occur in the service, usually with good advance notice.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who is an experienced problem-solver and thrives in production environments. To succeed in the assignment, it is required that you have:

• Experience in network operations in production environments (LAN/WLAN).
• Practical experience with installation, replacement, and troubleshooting of network equipment.
• Good knowledge of network fundamentals: TCP/IP, VLAN, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience working with ITSM tools, preferably ServiceNow.
• Category B driver's license.
• Very good knowledge (expert level) in both Swedish and English.

Merits

• Experience with equipment from Cisco, Fortinet, or Check Point.
• Relevant certifications, such as CCNA.
