Your Role

At Thoreb ITvehicle, you will have a broad role in the development of our software and information systems. This role suits you if you want to combine technical depth with product-related work and enjoy translating customer needs and business logic into robust, scalable solutions. In our development department in Östersund, you will work in a team with extensive experience in electronics design and embedded systems software development. We have short decision paths, and you will have great opportunities to influence the products.

In your daily work, you will:

• Develop functionality in our systems, from design to implementation and testing
• Contribute to early discussions on solution proposals, estimates, and technical prerequisites
• Contribute to solution design and improvements based on data, feedback, and business goals

Examples of tasks:

• Design and implement graphical interfaces for driver panels and passenger information.
• Develop drivers (I2C, SPI, UART, USB) for communication with sensors.
• Configure Linux services for network, graphics, and audio.
• Maintain and further develop PC-based diagnostic tools.

We are looking for you who have:

• At least three years of experience in software development in C/C++.
• Relevant higher education, for example in computer engineering or embedded systems.
• Experience working in Linux environments, preferably with Yocto or similar build systems.

Meritous if you have experience with:

• Qt/QML and graphics development for embedded Linux systems.
• Python, for test or tool development.
• Electronics design or debugging at the circuit board level.
• CAN, J1939, or other vehicle protocols.
