As a church custodian, you contribute to making the church a welcoming and dignified place for worship, community, and human encounters. A role where tradition, care, and practical work are woven together – and where pride in caring for the church space and our shared cultural heritage is a natural part of everyday life.

We are looking for someone who wants to work practically with maintenance and care of our properties and serve during worship services, church ceremonies, and other gatherings. The role also includes some administration.

Your Responsibilities

• Preparing worship spaces and parish halls for worship services, concerts, etc.
• Responsibility for sound and technical equipment during gatherings
• Ongoing maintenance and care of the parish's properties
• Snow removal and anti-slip measures
• Participation in burials as needed
• Work with cemetery maintenance may occur
• Service for both operations and the office

Evening and weekend work are included in the role.

Profile

We are looking for someone who has a high school education or equivalent knowledge.

You need to have experience with snow removal using a tractor or be willing to learn.

It is advantageous if you:

• have experience with worship and parish life
• have knowledge in sound, lighting, and technology
• are practically inclined and enjoy varied tasks

As a person, you are flexible, proactive, and orderly. You work both independently and in a team, and we place great importance on personal suitability.

Additional Information

We assume that you are a member of the Church of Sweden and share its values.

A Class B driver's license is required.

Employment Conditions

Temporary employment until 2026-12-31. Start date according to agreement.
