We are seeking 1 engaged and educated childcare worker with at least 5 years of work experience for Birkagårdens preschools.

About Birkagårdens Preschools

Birkagårdens preschools consist of four preschools: Karlavagnen, Sol-Ägget, Matteus, and 74:an. We work according to preschool pedagogy where play and learning are central. For us, it is important that every child feels secure at preschool, which is a prerequisite for development and learning. We have good dialogue with parents and strive for each child to be met based on their unique needs and abilities.

Requirements

• Educated childcare worker. Upper secondary education within the care program, children and youth, or other education deemed equivalent by the employer
• At least 5 years of work experience within preschool
• Very good knowledge of the Swedish language, both orally and in writing
• Experience with pedagogical documentation and accustomed to documenting in a digital learning platform.

Qualifications

• Good knowledge of childcare and pedagogy
• Ability to create a secure and stimulating environment for the children
• Flexible and cooperative

Your Role

Your role is to, together with the work team, drive the pedagogical work forward. We hope to find you who, like us, have the ambition to give the children a secure, developing, fun, and educational time at preschool. We are looking for you who understand the importance of good and close cooperation with guardians and other close persons in the child's environment. You are able to build trust and confidence, while being clear with your professional boundaries.

Job Duties

As a childcare worker, you contribute to the daily life at the preschool functioning well and that the care and daily pedagogical work are based on children's engagement, participation, and choices. Together with the other colleagues at the preschool, you help create a positive, meaningful, and developing environment for each child and for the entire group of children.

You participate in the pedagogical development work and the pedagogical documentation according to the preschool's curriculum and operational goals. You also contribute at parent meetings and development discussions. In the daily contacts with guardians, you are engaged, child-focused, and service-oriented.

Your Competence

The position requires that you master the Swedish language and can communicate in Swedish orally and in writing. You are an educated childcare worker with long experience within preschool, and feel comfortable working both independently and in a group.
