Description

Are you experienced in working in dental care and thrive in an active role with a lot of patient contact and telephone work?

Västerhaninge Dental Care is now looking for a receptionist/patient scheduler on a part-time basis who wants to play an important role in the clinic's daily operations.

We are looking for someone who is active, structured, and confident in contact with patients, and who enjoys making a lot of calls, following up with patients, and contributing to a well-filled and well-planned appointment book.

This is a role for you who already have experience from dental care and have a good understanding of how dental treatments work, so that you can professionally communicate with patients regarding bookings, follow-up appointments, and planned care.

About the Position

As a receptionist/patient scheduler with us, you work on-site at the clinic in Västerhaninge and have a central role in contact with our patients. You help patients book follow-up appointments, follow up on planned treatments, and create security in the patient journey.

The position is part-time, as there is already a person on-site equivalent to 50%.

Working hours are primarily scheduled for afternoons, approximately 2:00 PM–7:00 PM Tuesday through Friday.

Job Duties

  • Actively contact patients via telephone to schedule examinations, follow-up appointments, and treatments
  • Follow up with patients who have not yet booked their next appointment
  • Handle rescheduling, cancellations, and gaps in the appointment book
  • Greet patients in a confident, professional, and service-oriented manner
  • Help patients understand the next step in their treatment and guide them towards booking
  • Inform patients accurately and clearly about, for example, general dental care allowance (ATB) and the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's high-cost protection
  • Document calls and follow-ups according to the clinic's routines
  • Collaborate with practitioners and other reception staff regarding planning and prioritization

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Experience working in dental care
  • Good knowledge of how common dental treatments work
  • Good understanding of the Swedish Social Insurance Agency's dental care support, including high-cost protection and ATB
  • Very good Swedish in speech and writing
  • Good telephone skills and confidence in patient conversations
  • Good computer skills

Meritous:

  • Experience in reception, patient scheduling, or administrative work in dental care
  • Experience with record systems and booking systems
  • Experience in explaining treatment plans and costs to patients
