The IT department's main task is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is a crucial part of crime prevention and law enforcement work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and increasing the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority heavily invests in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and to streamline administration for employees in police operations.
Delivery and Support delivers, maintains, coordinates, and manages the IT equipment used by the authority's employees in their work. Delivery and Support provides and offers on-site support for all IT used by core operations.
We need to strengthen our positive and engaged team with a technician who wants to work with second-line support and installations of technology in various assignments.
Job Description
As an IT technician, you will have an exciting daily work life, working closely with operations in an interesting work environment. You focus on solutions based on police work and the needs of the operations.
Your main duties include:
- Providing IT support in second-line to our end-users
- Working with installations during renovations
- Delivery and installation of new technology in various areas
- Administration of existing equipment
Working as an IT technician within Delivery and Support means being part of a strong team where collaboration and community are the focus. Primarily, we meet our users in physical meetings and provide on-site support. The placement is in Eskilstuna, but travel will occur within the nearby work area. On-call duty is included in the position.
Qualifications
This is an opportunity for you who have:
- IT-focused upper secondary or post-secondary education, or work experience deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Several years of current experience as a Second-line IT technician, support technician, on-site technician, or in another equivalent role, where you have independently handled cases and delivered qualified IT support.
- Good knowledge regarding PCs, printers, peripherals, and network communication equipment.
- Experience working with case management systems, with accompanying documentation deemed relevant by the employer.
- Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
- Good knowledge of English
- Class B driver's license with experience driving a car (manual)
- The employment requires Swedish citizenship.
It is advantageous if you also have:
- Knowledge within Cisco, such as CCNA certification.
- Experience independently planning and coordinating assignments or projects.
- Experience working with mobile phone administration in larger organizations deemed relevant by the employer.
- Experience working with telephone exchange systems.
- Experience working with audio/video systems.
- Experience working administratively with server configuration, policy management, and/or AD.
- Experience setting up new workplaces and new establishments.
