Childcare Worker, Temporary Position

Växjö Interest Association for Montessori is an economic association that operates three Montessori preschools in Växjö. We have a high staff density that allows us to work closely with each child. Our operations are based on the principles of Montessori pedagogy and are anchored in the preschool curriculum as well as current research and proven experience. This means we design an educational environment where children's natural desire to learn is promoted, while offering a safe, caring, and developmental environment. As a non-profit organization, all revenue goes back to the children's education and development.

We work with high ambitions for each child's development and learning, and the work is characterized by strong pedagogical engagement. We place great importance on creating a prepared environment that meets each child at their unique level, where children feel safe and seen, and where they have the opportunity to explore and develop their interests.

We are looking for you who are a trained childcare worker, preferably with Montessori training or a strong interest in Montessori pedagogy, and who want to work based on the child's inherent drive and follow their natural desire to learn. It is expected that you, as an applicant, have a great willingness to learn and adapt to the working method that aligns with the principles and philosophy of Montessori pedagogy.

As a childcare worker, you are an important part of the work team and contribute to creating a cohesive whole where daily routines, care, and pedagogy go hand in hand. In collaboration with preschool teachers, you plan, implement, document, and analyze the education to create a positive, stimulating, and developmental environment, in accordance with the Montessori philosophy and based on each child's interests and needs.

We are looking for you who are responsible, engaged, flexible, and positive. You have an attentive and professional approach towards children, colleagues, and guardians and enjoy collaborating. Comfort with digital work tools and good knowledge of the Swedish language are also important.

Other Information

To work in preschool, school, and youth and leisure activities, you must, according to the law on register checks, provide an extract from the police criminal records register.

If you are a newly graduated preschool teacher, you have the opportunity for an introductory period with support from a mentor.

All employees are offered pedagogical meals.
