Preschool Teacher, Substitute Position
Description
Do you want to work in an environment where children's curiosity and eagerness to learn are at the center? With us, you have the opportunity to develop in a stimulating Montessori setting with high staff density and collegial learning.
Växjö Interest Association for Montessori is an economic association that operates three Montessori preschools in Växjö. Our activities are based on the principles of Montessori pedagogy and are well-grounded in the preschool curriculum as well as current research and proven experience. This means we design an educational environment that promotes children's natural desire to learn while offering a safe, caring, and developmental setting. As a non-profit organization, all income goes back to the children's education and development. We have a high staff density that allows us to work closely with each child.
Are you an engaged preschool teacher who wants to put the child at the center and work to promote each child's development and exploration of new areas of knowledge? Then our preschools are the right place for you!
At our preschools, we work with high ambitions for each child's development and learning, and the work is characterized by strong pedagogical engagement. We place great importance on creating a prepared environment that meets each child at their unique level, where children feel safe and seen, and where they have the opportunity to explore and develop their interests.
Shared competence development and collegial learning are offered continuously, both within your own team, at the preschool as a whole, and together across the entire organization. There is also close collaboration with a special education teacher.
As a preschool teacher with us, you are an important part of the team and contribute to creating a cohesive whole where daily routines, care, and pedagogy go hand in hand. Together with preschool teacher colleagues in the team, you lead planning, implementation, documentation, and analysis of the education. This is to create a positive, stimulating, and developmental environment in line with the Montessori philosophy based on each child's interests and needs.
The systematic quality work is documented digitally in ready-made templates created to provide natural support in developing the education overall as well as the teaching each individual child encounters.
We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher, preferably with Montessori training. It is expected that you as an applicant have a strong willingness and interest in learning and adapting to the working methods that align with the principles and philosophy of Montessori pedagogy. You are responsible, engaged, flexible, and positive. You have a listening and professional approach towards children, colleagues, and guardians. You have the ability to collaborate and communicate in an open, honest, and respectful manner. The position requires good knowledge of the Swedish language and competence in digital work tools.
