We are seeking a leisure-time pedagogue/teacher in after-school center (grades 4-6)

Therefore, we are looking for a driven leisure-time pedagogue or teacher for after-school activities who wants to help build a safe, creative, and meaningful environment for our middle school students!

Your new job

In your role with us, you have a key role in students' safety and well-being throughout the school day. You will have a special responsibility to plan and carry out varied break activities for grades 4–6. The purpose is to strengthen students' social development, create an inclusive community, and be a safe support in the schoolyard and corridors.

Here you will meet a positive and cohesive work team where student participation is at the center. You work closely with teachers for grades 4 and 5 and contribute to a common thread during students' day, which provides both variety and good opportunities to grow in your profession. Together with your colleagues, you work to create a safe, developmental, and stimulating environment for students, both indoors and outdoors.

We have existed for 25 years and currently have 54 employees and 470 students (where we will also start grades 4 and 5 this fall).

The school is located in a beautiful park landscape with several different buildings, making it feel like a small and personal school. With Flemingsberg nature reserve and the forest nearby, you have fantastic conditions to create stimulating and creative environments, and we would like you to use our wonderful outdoor environment as an active part of your activities.

We also have an animal house at the school with, among others, rabbits and guinea pigs. The animal house currently functions as part of students' break activities but could advantageously be developed to also be integrated into teaching.

Your competence

We are looking for you who are educated as a leisure-time pedagogue or a licensed teacher for after-school activities. You have a clear desire to contribute to students' safety and learning, and you always work with the children's best interests in focus.

• Feel great commitment for, and have a good ability to plan and carry out break activities that include everyone, create structure, and strengthen students' social relationships.
• Find it easy to build trust with students and guardians, and you see to each individual's needs.
• Enjoy working independently to develop new ideas for meaningful activities, both indoors and outdoors in nature.
• Enjoy being an active part of a work team, collaborate without prestige with teacher colleagues, and want to contribute to a positive and inclusive environment throughout the school.
• Are attracted to and interested in working in a school organized as a staff cooperative.

Good to know

Employment type: Permanent employment (begins with 6 months probationary period).

Scope: Full-time (or as agreed). Working hours are scheduled during daytime.

Start date: Before term start Fall 2026 (or as agreed).

Requirements: Attach relevant degree certificates/teacher license in your application. The School Act also requires all staff to present a valid extract from the criminal record for work in school.
