Who we are:

Grindstugan Preschool is an independent operation in Gustavsberg in a nature-rich area and is outdoors every day. We have bike Mondays where children are offered to bring bicycles and where we have guided bike games for the older children. We have cargo bikes that we ride on excursions during the summer half-year, where children get acquainted with the local area. We have an underlying focus on shared play that strengthens relationships and security between children and adults. We have trained and engaged preschool teachers and child care workers among 50 children divided into three departments. We have our own chef who makes fantastic food, and we have good parental cooperation. We have weekly meetings on Thursdays during the daytime.

Our pedagogy is based on a value foundation where play, clarity, presence, joy, and community form the common thread and permeate our operations. We have harmonious and calm child groups where children are secure and thus have the opportunity to develop in peace and quiet. We don't just say we work with values; we do it and are collaborative and aware that our daily focus on values is what creates secure and harmonious children. It is noticeable and visible in our fantastic child culture where children resolve conflicts with words and conversation, and all children are welcome in play.
