About the workplace

Rävemåla friskola is an alternative for school and after-school care in Tingsryd municipality. Rävemåla Friskola operates grades F - 6 and after-school care. It is a smaller school with just over 80 students. The guiding principles for the school are learning, community, and health.

The school is run as a limited company but is not profit-driven. The owner of the school is a non-profit association in Älmeboda parish. The school is characterized by short decision-making paths between operations and the board.

About the assignment;

We are looking for you who are a licensed special education teacher and have good ability to collaborate with student health services to support students' knowledge development. You should have competence in children's reading and writing development and/or competence in children's mathematics development. You will work closely with the school's special education teacher.

We are looking for you who thrive in a smaller context and enjoy collaborating in a team. At our school, we strive for small classes where all students are seen. Our classes have around 10-12 students. We have a fantastic schoolyard and very nice facilities.

We have a well-developed student health service with a principal, special education teacher, counselor, social pedagogue, and school nurse. A psychologist is available as well as a school doctor when needed. You will be the competence we lack. Efforts from your side are determined based on the needs that arise in our student health meetings, and you will collaborate closely with our class teachers to find the best way to achieve the students' goals.

You should have a conscious thought about your role as an educator and be a clear leader who works structured based on applicable governing documents. You need to have a professional approach. You have the ability to create a good work climate with engagement, curiosity, and security in the group, and you see and meet students' different needs based on their different conditions. You also have a positive attitude, a flexible way of working, very good collaboration skills, and a willingness to contribute to the development of the operations.
