Riding School Manager for Trelleborg Equestrian Association

THE RIDING SCHOOL BY THE SEA Trelleborg Equestrian Association is located at Brosjödals farm in Trelleborg municipality, a stone's throw from the Baltic Sea coast. The facility is owned by Trelleborg municipality, from whom we rent it. The municipality is responsible for all maintenance of the buildings and assists with certain tasks, such as harrowing and moving bales, etc. The association currently has 237 members and 80 riders in the riding school each week. The facility has about forty stalls, half of which are used by private riders who are members of the association. During the fall term of 2026, the association, together with the newly hired riding school manager, will build up an association-run riding school with about 8 ponies to start with. We have previously had contractors running the riding school at the facility but found that it would work better under our own management. At the facility, there are two riding arenas, a grass field, a paddock, and riding opportunities along the sea. The association has teams in the Allsvenskan league for both pony and horse. RESPONSIBILITIES Do you enjoy planning and organizing your work with a focus on high quality? Are you a social and positive person? In this role, you work closely with the association's board. Together, you develop suitable activities for members at various levels. The responsibilities include, among other things, teaching both theoretical and practical lessons for the riding school, training private riders in both jumping and dressage. You are also responsible for the care of the riding school horses and some stable duties. By distributing the activity's resources in an efficient and thoughtful way, you contribute to the forward development of Trelleborg Equestrian Association. We also intend to start para-riding in collaboration with the municipality's LSS department this fall. Therefore, we wish for you to be involved in building up that activity as well. QUALIFICATIONS Regarding the formal requirements, we are looking for you who have training as a riding school manager/riding teacher RIK I, II, III. As a person, you are confident and meticulous in your professional role and have a high sense of responsibility. You are also an engaged, pedagogical leader and enjoy working with children. To thrive in the role, you need to appreciate varied work where days can look different, while valuing structure and having a strong sense of service. You work independently, take your own initiatives, and have a good ability to collaborate and communicate in a constructive way. Additionally, you actively contribute to a positive work environment. You are also responsible for budget and activity follow-up. We value if you have previous experience of collaborating in association-run activities and experience working with children and young people. Trelleborg municipality has 44,000 inhabitants and is located along the south coast of Sweden. Trelleborg town, where the riding school is located, has 15,000 inhabitants and is right down by the sea. In the municipality, there are two other riding schools, one privately owned and one owned by the municipality. Trelleborg is, by the way, among Sweden's most horse-dense municipalities with proximity to Falsterbo Horseshow and Jägersro trotting and gallop track.
