About the position

As a personal assistant, you support a person with a disability in their daily life. The tasks vary depending on the client's needs and may include:

• Personal care
• Assistance at home
• Accompanying on activities and outings
• Support in daily routines

You are involved in supporting the person whether at home or in other environments.

The working hours are from 07:30-22:30 on both weekdays and weekends. You work independently throughout the shift.

You begin your employment with an introduction together with experienced staff. We prefer that you can start immediately.

The assignment

The assignment involves a man in his 70s living in Burgsvik. The man is paralyzed from the armpits down and uses a wheelchair. Therefore, transfers are part of the work. Assistive devices such as lifts are available on site, but we prefer that you have a strong and good physical condition so that transfers are not an obstacle. The man also has his own carpentry workshop that is frequently used by both him and the assistants. There, many fine crafts are created. We are looking for someone who enjoys creating, doing carpentry, and working with their hands. You are a person who does not shy away from rolling up your sleeves and gladly tackles practical tasks when needed.

Previous experience as a personal assistant is meritorious, but not a requirement – the most important thing is personal chemistry. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and respect for the client's self-determination and personal integrity.

Requirements

• You have a driver's license and a car or live in Burgsvik
• You can work long shifts and are available during the summer
• Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
