Uppsala Girl and Trans Hotline is seeking a temporary activity coordinator while our employee is on leave. The role involves working independently and goal-oriented towards the organization's objectives. We are looking for someone who thrives in a flexible role and wants to work with activity development, financial responsibility, coordination of volunteers, and providing support to youth.

We are looking for a person who is passionate about violence prevention work, youth rights, and mental health, and who wants to make a real difference in a small association with a big heart.

The position is at 80% and is based on grants from the National Board of Health and Welfare and Uppsala Municipality. The position is filled immediately and extends until December 2026, with the possibility of extension into 2027. The activity coordinator works closely with the organization's three other employees and has the association's non-profit board as the employer. At Uppsala Girl and Trans Hotline, we have goal-oriented working hours based on a 30-hour work week (full-time). Some working hours are scheduled for evenings and weekends. In the work, there is the possibility for some remote work.


Work Tasks

● Budget responsibility and ongoing bookkeeping

● Grant-related administration

● Development of support services

● Support calls with youth seeking support

● Coordination and supervision of volunteers


Requirements Profile

● Educated as a social worker, psychologist, or education that the employer deems equivalent

● Initiative and experience working independently

● Experience in coordination

● Experience working in a leadership role

Desirable qualifications and skills

● Knowledge of LGBTQIA+

● Experience in financial management

● Experience in non-profit organizations

● Experience in conducting support calls

● Experience with the target group of children and youth

Uppsala Girl and Trans Hotline is a non-profit association that started in 2005. The association is politically and religiously independent and works for gender equality, equality, brotherhood, and sisterhood. We are passionate about supporting and encouraging youth, working preventively for gender equality and equality, and raising the youth perspective in societal debate. The employer consists of a non-profit board; the hotline has four employees and about 30 volunteers.
